Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon KIDS JOB OPPORTUNITIES DIRECTOR MUSIC DIRECTOR CHOREOGRAPHER STAGE MANAGER TECH BOOTH OPERATOR STAGE CREW Be Part of the Production - Multiple Creative and Technical Positions Now Open! All members of the production team will be expected to attend meetings, rehearsals, and work days the entire run of the show March 10 - April 12. DIRECTOR The Director is responsible for the artistic vision, leadership, and overall execution of a Studio B production, workshop, or camp. This role oversees rehearsals, staff coordination, communication with families, and ensures a positive, organized, and safe experience for all participants. Director KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and lead auditions, casting, and rehearsals within approved schedules Interpret scripts and oversee creative direction for blocking, pacing, and storytelling Coordinate with Music Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager, interns, and volunteers Design and oversee sets, props, and costuming within approved budgets Communicate regularly with parents, cast, and Studio B staff regarding schedules, needs, and updates Supervise rehearsals, performances, and backstage operations Ensure adherence to Studio B policies, safety procedures, and behavior expectations Oversee performances, strike, cleanup, and proper storage of all production materials Complete required administrative tasks including invoices, Nellie ballot submissions, and key returns QUALIFICATIONS: Prior directing experience in theater, musical theater, or performing arts (community or educational setting preferred) Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Experience working with children and/or adult performers in a structured environment Ability to manage rehearsals, volunteers, and creative staff effectively Knowledge of stage etiquette, rehearsal processes, and production timelines Commitment to maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Ability to work within a defined budget and follow organizational policies TIME COMMITMENT: Attendance at required production meetings and auditions Regular rehearsals throughout the full rehearsal period Tech week and all scheduled performances Post-show strike and administrative wrap-up Time commitment varies by production but typically spans several weeks Apply Now MUSIC DIRECTOR The Music Director leads all musical elements of a production, ensuring cast members are confident, prepared, and musically cohesive. Disney's Descendants: The Musical - One Act Edition A MISCHIEVOUSLY FUN MUSICAL ADVENTURE FOR KIDS AGES 8 TO 16! Studio B Performing Arts is thrilled to bring the magic of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical to the stage! Based on the hit Disney Channel films, this high-energy production follows the children of famous Disney villains, as they navigate the challenges of living in Auradon and deciding whether to follow in their parents’ footsteps or choose their own path. Packed with dynamic songs, exciting choreography, and colorful characters, this show is a perfect opportunity for young performers to shine on stage and for audiences to experience a story about friendship, identity, and the power of choice. This 6-week youth workshop for students ages 8–16, provides an engaging rehearsal process that helps participants grow as actors, singers, and dancers while building confidence and teamwork skills. Each child who enrolls in the class will learn an audition song and dance during the Tuesday, January 13th, rehearsal. Auditions will be held during the Wednesday, January 14th, rehearsal and every student will be cast in a role in the show. Rehearsals begin January 13 and run through February 19 on Tuesdays–Thursdays from 6:00–8:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Performances will take place February 20 – March 1 , with evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and matinees on Sundays at 2:30 PM. This is a fantastic chance for both new and experienced performers to be part of a popular, modern Disney classic that audiences of all ages will love. Disney’s The Lion King KIDS A THREE WEEK SUMMER CAMP FILLED WITH HEART, HARMONY, AND THE CIRCLE OF LIFE! Discover the Pride, Power, and Spirit of Broadway’s Most Beloved Story! Step into the African savanna and experience the magic of Disney’s The Lion King KIDS! Follow Simba, an adventurous young lion destined to become king, as he embarks on a journey of courage, friendship, and self-discovery. Guided by unforgettable characters like Timon, Pumbaa, and Rafiki, Simba learns what it truly means to take his place in the Circle of Life. Explore Studio B’s spacious facility, featuring a 100-seat theater, dance studio, green room, and lobby—designed for performance, learning, and community. Our Facility WHERE ART, EDUCATION, & COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER Studio B Performing Arts is proud to call The Center at 2400 FM 407 in Highland Village, Texas, our home. Sometimes referred to as 2400 FM 407 @ 1 Nelson Parkway or simply 1 Nelson Parkway, our location is easily accessible near the intersection of FM 407 and Morriss Road/Highland Forest, just behind Just Brakes and the Hidden Pines Wedding Chapel. Our facility encompasses approximately 4,540 square feet, thoughtfully designed to support both performance and education. Within this space, you’ll find our black box–style theater with seating for up to 100 guests, an inviting lobby and box office, a fully equipped backstage area with the Actor’s Green Room, as well as our administrative offices and technical booth. The theater itself is a flexible space, with a stage that adapts to each production, creating an intimate experience where audiences feel connected to the performers. Beyond the stage, Studio B is also home to a spacious room with wall-to-wall mirrors, ideal for theater classes and large group meetings. This versatile environment allows us to offer a wide range of productions, workshops, and classes while fostering a creative community where performers of all ages can learn, grow, and shine. The Green Room is a dedicated space for cast and crew to prepare, relax, and connect before and after performances. Outfitted with comfortable seating and storage for costumes and props, it’s a behind-the-scenes hub of creativity and camaraderie. Actors gather here to review lines, get into character, and share the excitement of live performance. More than just a waiting area, the Green Room is where friendships are formed and the spirit of Studio B’s community truly shines. Our welcoming lobby is the first stop for guests as they enter Studio B. This 5-week youth workshop is open to ages 5–17 and offers two company levels: Senior Company (ages 8–17): Rehearsals Tuesdays–Thursdays, 6:00–8:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Junior Company (ages 5–7): Rehearsals Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00–11:30 AM (except during tech week, when they’ll join all rehearsals). Rehearsals begin Tuesday, October 6th, and run through Thursday, November 5th. Performances will take place November 6–8 and November 13–15, 2026, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM. Senior Company students will learn their audition song and dance during the first week, with auditions held on Wednesday, October 7th.
